Saint-Restitut at very high risk of forest fires

Wildfire risk : let’s protect Drôme Provençale together.
Saint-Restitut at very high risk of forest fires

During the summer season, intense heat and drought significantly increase the risk of forest fires. Authorities have designated our area—around Saint-Restitut—as being at very high risk for forest fires. Access for pedestrians, as well as vehicle traffic and parking, is PROHIBITED throughout the Saint-Restitut forest area starting July 2, 2026 > Per prefectural order.

During your stay at our gîte, we encourage you to adopt safe habits to help preserve the exceptional natural heritage that gives Drôme Provençale its unique charm.

Essential safety measures:

  • No lighting fires.
  • No smoking.
  • No discarding burning objects (cigarette butts, embers, ash).
  • Do not park your car on dry grass.
  • No access to the Saint-Restitut forest area.

One small action can make all the difference.

Most fires are caused by human activity and can be prevented with a few simple actions. By remaining vigilant, we all help protect the landscape, biodiversity, homes, and people.

We sincerely thank all our visitors for their understanding and commitment to preserving this exceptional region.

We wish you a pleasant stay at L'Eden de Mila in Saint-Restitut and hope you fully enjoy the treasures of Drôme Provençale, while respecting nature and safety guidelines.
